Question From Dess

Dess

"Hi guys! So a few months ago around the end of april this guy that i like told me that he had a girlfriend even tho he still had feelings for me and i believed every word he said but then later found out he was "April Fooling" me and everything went back to normal. A few weeks later he told me again that he had a girlfriend and i told him that if he has a girlfriend he shouldn't treat me like i'm his girlfriend but he said that he would never love anyone more than me and that no one could ever take my place. I told him to stop doing what he was doing and then again he told me that he was joking. Now a few days one of his close friends finally told me that he really did have a girlfriend and showed me proof of it by sending some messages that he sent to her. It's not that i don't think he loves me or anything but he was telling the truth but then told me a lie. Apparently him and this girl aren't getting along and i'm not sure if they're still together or not. Do you guys have any idea what this could mean? Do you think he really loves me or Is just playing with me? Please help i don't know what to do :(

Regards,
Dess"

Well Dess, to me it seems like this guy likes you. He probably kept telling you that he has feelings for you even though he has a girlfriend to see how you would react. I don't think he was lying, I just think he was trying to see if you would respond favorably. Then he would take back what he said when you told him that you don't want him to treat you like his girlfriend if he already has one. My advice would be to just straight up ask him if he really likes you or is just playing with you. Hope this helped!

With great love,
Jill

Question From Destiny

Destiny

"There's this guy I like and recently he has another girlfriend. While he was in a relationship with her he told her that she was the only girl he loved and wanted to be with but at the same time he was telling me the same thing he told her. What do you guys think this means?

Destiny, with true honesty I would stay away from him. It seems to me that that guy is a player and he just wants to be with anyone. However, there could be another meaning. He could really like you but maybe he feels like he is forced to be with the other girl. While I hope that that is what he means, I think that it is probably the first one. I hope this helps and I am deeply sorry if I am misinterpreting the situation.

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question From Linda

Question From Linda

"My  mom doesnt think im pretty. Me and her dont really get along and idk. A day ago i took a really cute selfie and everyone complimented me. My stepdad said "you look cute" when he said that my mom says "oh she looks alright" and i already have low self esteem and hearing her say that lowers it more. And she always compliments my cousin and sisters but never me. I feel like she doesnt love me and i remember in 4th grade (5 years ago) she use to call me a fat lazy a** pig and thats when my self esteem lowered. I dont know what to do or how to feel soo please help"

Linda, (if that is your name), I am so sorry to hear this! I think that you should go face to face with your mom and tell her that you feel this way! Tell her that you don't appreciate how she is putting you down and that you already have a low self esteem. I would also try to tell an adult friend so they can help you out. I am sure that you are a nice, caring, pretty young lady! And NEVER listen to those who are putting you down. I hope this helps and i wish you the best!

Jill

Question From Kevalee Meyer

Kevalee Meyer

"Well, I really like this guy, his name is Rian and he is my friends younger brother (my friend is 18, Rian is 16, and I am 14) I have liked him for about two years and my friend knows I like him, is OK with it but doesn't let me at their house as much now, but now that its summer I can see him at the public pool, anyways me and a friend, her name is haliee, were at the pool when he came in she made me go over their and talk to him, we ended up talking for about two hours, resulting in him asking if he could borrow a movie, he walks with us to my house and borrows the movie. At about 9 Haliee wants to call him for me to see if he can hang out (today) while she is talking to him, me being all nervous, he asks if ill be their, then asks if he can talk to me several times while he eventually says no because now it's like 10, but says to ask him again because he is going to be at the pool tomorrow. It's tomorrow, he doesn't show up and, I get a sunburn. What should I do, he didn't show up yesterday, should I call him again or sit at the pool all day, with a sunburn and see if he shows up, do you even think he likes me.

Thanks for reading this long story."

Kevalee, I think that he was just busy. He probably was planning on going to the pool but he probably had to do something else! If I were you I would call him again and ask him where he was, but try not to sound too desperate. Then ask him if he is going to go to the pool tomorrow. If he says yes than show up, but try to put on sunscreen so you don't get burned again. Hope this all works out! Hope this helped.

Jill

Question From Connor Wakeman

Connor Wakeman

"Well for the past day I've been uneasy, and a bit of regret from a dream I had on a crush that I never asked to go outwith. Long story short we met in the hallways of the school, and I asked her out. Going straight to the problem that has been bothering me all day. I've been feeling ill thinking about how it would of been differently if I would of asked her. I try to keep my mind off it but can't for some reason. I have the feeling depression because of this, I feel as though I wouldn't make it another day without her. Im just trying to find an answer to why Im feeling like this."

Connor, It seems to me that you still have a crush on her. You might have ignored the fact that you liked her enough to ask her out, but in reality you really want her to be your girlfriend. I think that you need to go up to her and ask her out, for closure. If she says no than thats that, but if she says yes then you can truly see if you like her a lot, and if you want to be with her. I hope that you figure this out! And I hope that this helped you!

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question From Weston

Weston

"Okay so here is the thing, I am going to be a Junior now, as well as she, and I have been crushing on her since the beginning of my Freshman year. She has told me she was crushing on me extremely hard since 8th grade, but we were shy at talking lol, I know I'm not very smooth with the ladies. I dated her best friend for 3 months and she tried to date mine for like 2 weeks, then we both realized we still kinda a thing for each other. Our relationship has been flirty but never has progressed. It seems as if we talk for like a day and then she's not interested and then don't talk for a while. She has told me she feels as if i don't like her. It bothers her that i dated her friend. But the truth is, ha, I never can stop thinking about her. I literally have her on my mind when i go to bed and wake up. I had a dream where we went on our first "official" date and we just simply were holding hands and she was kinda leaning on me during a movie. I woke up with a smile on my face just to come to the realization that it never happened. Best dream ever by far lol. I guess the ultimate goal of this is to ask how i go about pursuing an actual relationship. I am confident that she still likes me, i just don't want to go and make her feel uncomfortable or obligated to do something she doesn't want. I hope this all makes sense, i've kinda rambled. I know people are going to say you just gotta grow a pair and tell her how you feel, but how do i even set up the conversation about it?"

Weston, it sounds that you really like her! Why not just admit to her that you have feelings for her? She obviously likes you back, so I think that the best thing to do in this situation is to tell her that she makes you happy. Tell her that you want to be with her and that you hope she feels the same. Also tell her about the dream you had. If you don't make it sound to creepy then she will think that it is sweet and it will most likely make her want to go on a date with you. I think that you have to be honest about your feelings with her and hopefully she will feel the same way! You said above that you don't know how to set up the conversation with her, why not just go up to her and tell her. You just need to have 30 seconds of courage, which can lead to great happiness. Make sure that you talk to her in private though, so she doesn't feel like you are forcing her to say yes. Hope this helps!

Jill

Question From Brandon Peters (Again)

Brandon Peters

"Hi again guys. I'm in need of help again. So my crush just recently got back together with her boyfriend. I was going to tell my crush I like her but now I'm not so sure if I should or not. I want to tell her face to face but I can never have time to talk to her privately in school. Would it be ok to tell her by text message or Facebook if I can't tell her face to face?
Thank you for your guys help!"

Hello again Brandon! I would say that it would probably be best to not tell her at the moment. I would wait it out, until she and her boyfriend have a fight or break up again. But, while you are waiting I would suggest that you make her fall in love with you! Be kind to her, funny, and charming. Make her want to be around you all the time! If you do that then she will most likely end up liking you back. If she breaks up with her boyfriend then I would tell her face to face if you can. It is best not to tell them over text or Facebook (unless she asks you over text who you like, then you can say that its her). Hope this helps!

With great love,
Jill

Question From Erica Bae

Erica Bae

"I need some serious help. So, my best friend and I used to be really close. Like, we met at Facebook with a mutual friend and found out she lives really close to me and we started talking more and more. We got to point where we even tell our deepest secrets to each other and have late night talks and early morning talks. However, we always fought because she's really stubborn and unreasonable and doesn't understand that I have a strict curfew because my mother makes me and I can't go out a lot and so she gets mad at me and it leads to fights. One day, we had this fight about me liking a guy she despises. I knew this guy for awhile and she hates him for a stupid reason. Something like hate at first sight. So, we started fighting and I said some insensitive things to her and we didn't talked again for awhile. I started apologizing after a week. I know she misses me too because she always talks about me with our mutual friends and I miss her too but she doesn't want to accept my apology because she knows we will keep fighting and that I will hurt her again and that she'll keep bothering me. So, now it's a few months after and she still won't talk to me and I'm thinking she already forgot about me.....I apologized to her one more time on Facebook and she only saw the message. I don't know what to do anymore...my other friends are giving me advice like keep waiting for her response or tell her off! Please help! You're my only hope.
I really do want to be friends with her again....btw, it's been a little over half a year now."

Erica, I think that you solved your own problem! Tell her exactly what you just said (or you could even send her a link of this conversation). I think that you should keep on apologizing and when you see her in person, remind her why you two were friends in the first place! All friends argue, and many never recover their friendship because of it. Hopefully you can make her see that you still think about her and that you want to be friends with her again! Invite her to a movie or something to show her that you are still thinking about her. Hopefully she can forgive you! You seem like a super nice friend and I hope that this all works out! Hope this helps!

With great love,
Jill

Question From Brandon Peters

Brandon Peters

"What can I talk about with my crush in school that sits right next to me in class? I'm a boy and I have this crush on this girl that I really like. I am bad with conversation starters and need a topic to talk about. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks."

Brandon, it is a very normal thing to not have anything to say around girls. I would probably bring up some hobbies that either you really like or that you know she likes. Or you could always talk about how much you hate school and what you would like to do with your life (this always works with me). If you still don't know what to say then I suggest that you use some old classic tricks. Like: Can I borrow a pencil, or where are you going over the weekend (or summer), or you could even just crack a couple of jokes. Just try to be yourself and be aware of her feelings. Also make sure that you listen to what she has to say. Hope this helps you out!

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question From Jackson Marcellus (Again)

Jackson Marcellus

"Jack, me again. I forgot to say that it's a long distance relationship. I live in Austin, Texas and he lives in Tampa, Florida. We only meet once a year, and he is my only friend. What do I do?"

Well Jackson, the conversation starters still apply to this situation. However you can't do the activities that I suggested before (only when he visits you). There are many fun things to do online! You can skype him and then play games online. Also if you aren't much of a game person then you guys can create stories together. Or maybe you guys can create a blog similar to this! There are loads of things to do over the internet. Hope this helps!

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question From Jackson Marcellus

Jackson Marcellus

"Hey Jack, I am having some problems with my best friend. Me and him are together a lot during the week but we never do anything. We just sit and talk. (But we barely ever have anything to talk about.) What should I do next time with him? Something fun and different?"

First of all I think that it is great that you guys hang out a lot. Talking is perfectly fine with best friends. If you run out of things to say, then talk about your day, crushes, sports, or anything else that you like to do. If you guys are tired of just talking than there are a number of things you can do! If you like to play sports you can play that with him! You could also go swimming on hot days or have all out snowball fights during the winter. There are plenty of other things to do like bowling, video games, shopping, see a movie, laser tag, paintball, and more. You just have to be open minded when thinking of what to do! Hope this helps!

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question From Tom Kenny

Tom Kenny

"How do you talk to women if you are one of the most boring people in the world? I'm broke and I can't take her anywhere fun, can you help me?"

Tom, not having anything to say in front of girls (or anybody for that matter) is perfectly normal! I think that you should just act yourself. Try to think of things that you know that she likes and ask her questions about it! Hopefully overtime, you can become more comfortable around girls so that you can talk about yourself also! Another important thing to do is to listen! Make sure that you listen to the girl, they always love to have someone to talk to. You don't necessarily have to take her to anywhere fun for you guys to have a good time. You can just hangout at a park or another public place where it is kind of romantic and you can talk one on one! Hope this helps!

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question From Perry Jenkins

Perry Jenkins

"I was just wondering if you could help me. My question is, how can I get a girl to like me? I really like her but I don't even think she know that I exist. I don't want to directly ask her because it would probably just be awkward. And also can you give me some relationship tips? Thanks."

Perry, all you have to do is be yourself. I'm sure that you are a kind and loving guy! Just show that side of you to her. Try to hang out with her more so that she knows you better and maybe in time develops the same feelings for you. At that point, then you can start to hint towards how you like her and see if she feels the same. For relationship tips, I think that you should be a romantic, sweet, caring boyfriend. I know that I like that in guys! Wish you the best!

Question From Lauren Driscoll

Lauren Driscoll

"So Jack, I've been dating this guy since august 2012 and we're serious, I mean we know that we're together but he freaks out every time someone finds out about us and tries to play it off... I know that he's not just using me for sex, because he's talked about us staying together after I leave for Navy bootcamp in 2 weeks we've even talked about marriage and our futures.. he's a year younger than me and people say i'm way out of his league when it comes to appearances (not that thats important) but he acts like he's never even heard of me when people ask about us... I just need some advice! I'm crazy about him!"

Lauren, I can tell that you really like this guy! My advice to you is that you and your boyfriend need to have a chat. Tell him that you are feeling upset by the way he is ignoring you around his friends. He is probably insecure, and doesn't like what other people say about how you are so much hotter than him. Make sure you comfort him so that he doesn't feel self-conscience while around other people. And you are right, looks don't matter! It should be more about personality than looks! I wish you two the best of luck!

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question From Nicole Le

Nicole Le

"I had my period on May 17-21, 2013. Then a week after that I began feeling mood swings, constant migraines, and I was always exhausted. Then, a few days after that, around the 31st of May, I had very sore nipples, and I spotted a bit. It was light pink. Since that day, I have felt all of those symptoms along with cramping, pinching on my left side, vivid dreams, and slight insomnia. Some days I feel sick but don't actually throw up. I really think I am pregnant, but I think it's too early to test. The due date calculator says I should be about 3 weeks. Should I wait another week to see if I missed my period? I have been drinking recently and smoking, too. Could that affect my baby if I am pregnant?"

Nicole! I think that you should stop smoking and drinking immediately! If you really are pregnant than that can really mess up a baby (maybe even kill them). I think that you should try to take the pregnancy test now, and if it says that you aren't pregnant wait another week and try again. The above symptoms are all symptoms of pregnancy so don't take any chances by smoking and drinking. Wish you the best of luck! Hope this helps!

Question From Jhilmil Rustam

Jhilmil Rustam

""Does he love me or it is just a time-pass? I met this guy on the internet 2 years ago. At first I did not like to communicate much with him but he kept on contacting me. But then somehow things worked between us and we became good friends. For the last 10-11 months things have worked really well between us and we are very good friends now.I fall in love with him gradually and 6 months ago, I told him about it. He said he does not want a relationship right now as he wants to concentrate on his career and he won't be able to take care of me the way he wants to.After that incident, circumstances led me to revoke my words and I told him I was just confused. For the last 6 months, things are normal and we are having great times together as friends, though he keeps on telling me why he does not want to be engaged to anybody right now, and how he will propose the girl of his choice after his career is settled, and how much he likes me. And did I mention, he is very much caring towards me. Keeps on doing crazy things to make me smile, even does not react when I am wrong, instead tries to understand me. Seldom do we meet, most of the time talk over phone. And recently he has expressed a desire to kiss me and I said NO, the reason i cited is that we are JUST FRIENDS and not couple. He seemed to be a bit disappointed but did not push the issue further and did not try to manipulate me. There is no change in his behavior towards me. I just cannot figure out what the truth is? Does he really like me and really concerned about career, or he just do not want me as his girlfriend and just want my friendship for spending some good time? DOES HE LOVE ME OR NOT? Please guys suggest something!"

Jhilimil, that is a very interesting question. From the looks of it I would say that this guy does have feelings for you! I think that he wants to have a future with you, and that is why he keeps telling you that he needs to focus on his career first. Before he can go out with you or later even marry you (if it works out), he wants to know that he can support you so that you guys can have a nice life together! If you truly like him, then I think that you should wait until he gets his career going and see if he does ask you out. Hopefully this helps! Wish you the best!

Question from Yolanda

Yolanda

"My boyfriend looks at other guys when I am around. I am trying not to be jealous, but I am the jealous type! What should I do?

Ouch! That's a tough one. I hate to tell you this but if your boyfriend is looking at other guys he may be gay. I would have a chat with him and ask him if he truly has feelings for you and not other guys. But make sure that you comfort him if he admits it, you don't want him to feel like everyone hates him because of it. I also think that you should probably try to find another boyfriend! Hope everything goes well!

Question from John

John

"I am struggling academically because school is so confusing! What should I do?

John, this is a common problem with many. My advice to you is to pay attention more in school. I know it can be very challenging and boring but if you would like to get into a good college or just get good grades you should listen. If you are paying attention, I would think about hiring a tutor. Tutors can be a great way to understand what you are learning. You can also reach out to your teachers. Your teachers just wish you the best and will be more than willing to help you out. I hope you take my advice and I wish you the best of luck!

Best of Luck,
Jack

Question from Sasha

Sasha

"I really like this guy but I don't know if he likes me back, what should I do?

Sasha, many have been in your situation before (including myself!). What I do is I get to know him better. For example, I hang out with him a lot with a large group of friends. Overtime if I still have feelings for him and if he proved himself to be a loving, caring guy I then hint at liking him. If he doesn't catch on then I ask him face to face if he likes me. Hopefully he feels the same way you do. If he doesn't, don't worry about it! I'm sure that you are a beautiful lady and there are plenty of more fish in the sea. You just have to keep searching!

With great love,
Jill
